Project Highlights
    - Load Distribution and Balancing

This topic is aiming at developing efficient algorithms and mechanisms for load distribution and balancing for complex networks consisting of a large number of nodes, including wireless sensor networks. Our recent results include the proposal of a load balancing mechanism for such a network based on the mean field interaction. We introduced an interaction function to capture the mean field interaction between nodes. In terms of this function, the total system load will be balanced according to specified criteria. Fundamental issues have been addressed, including limiting behavior using the mean field approximation, identification of the stationary distribution of the limiting queuing system, and the improvement in system performance.
